EB-2 NIW (National Interest Waiver)
Self-petitionable EB-2 with the labor certification waived in the national interest.
INA §203(b)(2)(B). Self-petitionable — no employer or PERM. Matter of Dhanasar (AAO 2016) framework requires (1) endeavor of substantial merit and national importance, (2) you're well-positioned to advance it, (3) it would benefit the US to waive the labor certification requirement. Materially easier for researchers than the average tech worker assumes. Filing fees + attorney fees typically $5K-$15K.
